Welcome to the corner of the Podcast World where
Kids are #1
Where we keep podcasts open and accessible and work to take kids listening to the next level.
Welcome, Podcasters
If you’re a kids podcaster, first of all, thank you. We are parents who fell in love with listening to podcasts with our kids and wanted a better way to enjoy them.
If you’re already on the KidsPod app, we want you to know that this is just the beginning. We are currently building out our podcaster portal where you’ll be able to -
Edit your podcast’s page
Customize your show’s draw-along-mode
Get audience insights
See podcast rankings on the platform
Receive messages from listeners
And much more
In the meantime, please contact rachel@kidspod.app if you’d like to add anything to your podcast, have coloring pages or worksheets you’d like us to add to your show, or alert us to any errors.
Podcaster’s FAQs
Here, we provide answers to some common questions podcasters may have when using the KidsPod platform.
Will KidsPod remove ads from my RSS feeds?
No, we will not. We understand that advertisements are an essential part of podcast content. Ads help support content creators, and we respect this aspect of the podcast ecosystem.
Will KidsPod alter my RSS feed without permission?
We respect the content you create and share on KidsPod. We will not alter or adjust your RSS feed without your express permission.
Are podcasts on KidsPod behind a paywall?
No, they are not. KidsPod is committed to providing access to podcasts for all users. While we do offer a subscription plan that provides additional app convenience features, such as a favorites library, playlist creation, unique user profiles, etc., none of the content available on KidsPod is restricted based on whether you are using the free or paid version of the app.
Will my episodes be aggregated into playlists behind paywalls?
At KidsPod, we believe in open access to content. We will not aggregate episodes into playlists that can only be accessed by users behind a paywall. Our goal is to ensure that all users can enjoy the full range of podcasts available on our platform.
Can KidsPod create aggregated playlists in collaboration with influencers for brands?
Yes, we reserve the right to create aggregated playlists in collaboration with influencers or brands. However, these playlists will remain accessible to all users and will not be locked behind a paywall. Promoted playlists can expect increases in download numbers and improve your podcasts overall rank on the platform.
Is it possible for me to claim my podcast on the KidsPod app?
We are diligently progressing on the development of a dedicated portal within our backend infrastructure, enabling podcasters to assert ownership and effectively manage their podcasts. We are committed to providing comprehensive analytics as soon as our platform's capabilities allow and within the parameters of applicable privacy regulations.

How will KidsPod help my podcast grow?
By focusing exclusively on Kids and Family podcasts we make it easier for potential listeners to find exactly what they're looking for. The KidsPod app puts your podcast in front of your target audience. We offer various promotional opportunities, including featuring podcasts on our app, promoting on our social media platforms, playlists, website, and newsletters. Our goal is to help you reach a wider audience and share your content with our community. With increased accessibility and discoverability through KidsPod your podcast has a great chance of being seen and enjoyed in a kid safe library of podcasts. Additionally, our subscription plan and user-friendly features can enhance user engagement and retention, contributing to the growth of your podcast.
Can users download my episodes?
Yes, we offer the option for users to download episodes. Users without a KidsPod+ subscription can download up to 5 episodes at a time. KidsPod+ subscribers, on the other hand, enjoy the benefit of unlimited downloads.
We understand that while most listening occurs via streaming with WiFi or data, families and children often find themselves in offline situations — such as during travel or while using WiFi-only devices away from home. By enabling downloads, we empower families to take their favorite podcasts with them wherever they go. We give listeners the opportunity to download their favorite episode so that even when they're not streaming, they can still access your podcasts, instead of moving on to other shows or media.
We are also aware that every download holds significance. To ensure responsible usage, we are actively exploring ways to ensure that downloads are used appropriately and not as a permanent offline collection. For example, we are looking to implement mechanisms to automatically expire downloads after a certain period, thus encouraging users to stay connected and engaged with the platform. Our aim is to strike a balance that benefits both podcast creators and our users.
